About us

The Swedish Association of Investigative Journalism (FGJ) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and inspiration of profound, critical journalism. The association’s goal is to offer courses and seminars that improve the sharing of knowledge between journalists. Our magazine, Scoop, is published four times per year. At FGJ annual seminar an independent jury distribute Sweden’s most prestigious journalism prizes: the Guldspade (“Golden shovel”) to the country’s best investigative reporters, and the Gyllene Dynamon (“Golden dynamo”) to the best investigative editor.

The Global Investigative Journalism Conference (GIJC) is to be held in Gothenburg Sweden 19-22 september 2023. The Swedish Association of Investigative Journalism (FGJ) is co-hosting the event together with The Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN) and Fojo Media Institute. The board in FGJ consists of journalists and investigative reporters from different swedish media outlets.
